On April 23, 2025, Times Higher Education (THE) released its Asia University Rankings 2025, in which PSU was ranked joint 6th among Thailand’s top universities and placed within the 401–500 band across Asia.
The THE Asia University Rankings assess universities based on five key performance indicators:
1. Research quality 30%
2. Research environment 28%
3. Teaching 24.5%
4. Industry 10%
5. International outlook 7.5%
This regional ranking is a subset of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, the only global ranking system evaluating research-intensive universities across all core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. While the Asia rankings follow the same methodological framework as the global rankings, the weightings have been adjusted to better reflect the priorities and unique characteristics of higher education institutions in the Asian region.
