QS Stars: PSU attains four-star rating in 2025

Prince of Songkla University (PSU) has been awarded a prestigious 4-star rating in the QS Stars Rankings for 2025, a renowned global university assessment system. Notably, PSU received a 5-star rating in Teaching, Facilities, Employability, and Environmental Impact, underscoring its excellence in these key areas.

PSU received a 4-star rating in Good Governance, Global Engagement, Hospitality & Leisure Management, and Innovation & Knowledge Transfer. Meanwhile, in the area of Research, it has received a 3-star rating.

The detailed ratings and scores across the nine assessed categories are as follows:

  1. Teaching: 5 stars, with a score of 118 out of 150
  2. Facilities: 5 stars, with a score of 79 out of 100
  3. Employability: 5 stars, with a score of 124 out of 150
  4. Environmental Impact: 5 stars, with a score of 73 out of 100
  5. Good Governance: 4 stars, with a score of 64 out of 100
  6. Global Engagement: 4 stars, with a score of 85 out of 150
  7. Programme Strength (Hospitality & Leisure Management): 4 stars, with a score of 34 out of 50
  8. Innovation & Knowledge Transfer: 4 stars, with a score of 34 out of 50
  9. Research: 3 stars, with a score of 84 out of 150

The overall score is 4 stars, with a total of 695 out of 1,000 points.

Launched in 2009, the QS Stars university ranking system evaluates educational institutions across various dimensions, offering a more comprehensive assessment than traditional rankings. Currently, over 700 institutions worldwide have been assessed, with many collaborating with local governments in various countries. QS Stars is widely recognized as a leading provider of international rankings, awarding star ratings in at least nine categories while providing an overall evaluation of institutions.
