Prince of Songkla University extends its congratulations to Dr. Piyanut Chotikawanich, lecturer in the Information Technology Program, Faculty of Science and Industrial Technology, Surat Thani Campus, for being awarded funding for prototype innovation development toward commercialization.
Dr. Piyanut received support under the project “Enhancing the Capabilities of Thailand’s Service Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) Manufacturing Industries for ASEAN Competitiveness.” The funded innovation, “PC Classi – Portable Classifier for Palm Monitoring,” is a handheld device designed to measure the ripeness level of oil palm fruit. The project has been granted 100,000 THB to advance its development toward market readiness.
Prince of Songkla University is proud of this achievement and acknowledges the significant contribution this innovation will make to Thailand’s agricultural technology and its competitiveness within the ASEAN region.
