PSU hosts 10th National Humanities and Social Sciences Conference

The Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), organized the 10th National Undergraduate Conference in Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Law, Thaksin University; the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University; and the Social Science Association of Thailand.

The event was presided over by Dr. Panida Sukseemuang, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, with an opening address delivered by Dr.Chalermwut Wijit, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs. The conference drew strong participation from students and interested attendees, held at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, PSU Hat Yai Campus, and via ZOOM Meeting on 27 October 2025.

The program featured two special lectures:

“Beyond Boys’ Love Fiction: From Imagination to Transformation” by Dr. Isaree Siriwankunthorn (physician and writer under the pen name Sammon), and “AI is Changing the World: What Human Skills Remain Essential?” delivered by Dr. Anant Choksuriwong, Faculty of Engineering, PSU; Ms. Hathaikarn Kamnerdpetch, Faculty of Law, Thaksin University; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimpawan Chaipanich, Assistant Dean for Information Technology and Corporate Communications, Faculty of Liberal Arts, PSU.

In addition, the conference showcased academic presentations by undergraduate students from various institutions, serving as a vital platform for developing research skills, academic communication, and inter-institutional collaboration in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The event aims to strengthen student capabilities and prepare the next generation of scholars for high-quality academic engagement.
