PSU Outstanding Alumni Awards 2024 honor distinguished graduates

Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of PSU, presided over Outstanding Alumni Awards Ceremony 2024 to honor graduates who have made significant contributions to society and the university and who are widely recognized for their achievements. The event was attended by executives from all five campuses, faculty members, alumni, and thousands of students at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, PSU Hat Yai Campus on July 27, 2025.

Dr. Niwat stated that this was an auspicious occasion to present the Outstanding Alumni Awards 2024, which was held in conjunction with the university’s traditional institutional singing program. He emphasized that the ceremony not only recognized the distinguished alumni but also allowed current students to share in the celebration. The accomplishments of these outstanding alumni, he said, serve as role models and sources of inspiration for current students to dedicate themselves to their studies and make the most of their university experiences in pursuit of future success.
 
The event featured a ceremonial procession of the university emblem and faculty flags, followed by the Outstanding Alumni Awards 2024 Presentation. Awards were given in several categories:

  • Career Achievement: 34 recipients
  • Distinguished Works: 10 recipients
  • Contributions to Society and the University: 11 recipients
  • Promotion of Ethics and Morality: 4 recipients
  •  Young Outstanding Alumni: 14 recipients

Additionally, the ceremony included a choral performance of the University’s traditional songs such as Priew Sri Trang, Khet Rua See Blue, Rom Sri Trang, PSU Under the Royal Grace, and PSU March, the pinning ceremony for new students with the University emblem, cultural performances by the Natrak Club, Cheerleading Club, and Choir Club, as well as a congratulatory banquet for the awardees at the Conference Hall, International Convention Center, 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne, Hat Yai Campus.
