New Year's Greeting 2026 from the PSU President

On the auspicious occasion of the New Year 2026, I extend my sincere best wishes, encouragement, and heartfelt concern to all of you and your families.

Over the past year, the Prince of Songkla University community has worked with strength and unity, overcoming challenges and obstacles with determination and selfless dedication. I commend the spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding demonstrated by everyone, which has enabled the University to continue advancing its vital missions with stability and confidence.

During the severe flooding that affected Hat Yai and neighboring provinces in late November 2025, members of the Prince of Songkla University community— including students, staff, faculty members, alumni, and all university units —came together in full force. This included Songklanagarind Hospital, emergency service centers, academic faculties, student clubs, student organizations across all five campuses, and alumni nationwide. All contributed both physical efforts and financial support to assist those affected. The University opened shelters at the Hat Yai Campus, deployed medical and nursing teams and public health personnel, organized community kitchens and field hospitals, and served as a donation hub to support communities and government agencies across the South. After the situation improved, the University has continued rehabilitation and relief efforts, which will carry on into 2026 in collaboration with all relevant partners.

Throughout the year, our work has been guided by the royal dictum of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla:

“Personal interests should be regarded as secondary; the benefit of mankind should be the foremost concern.”

This principle stands as our guiding foundation and enduring commitment, reflecting the true spirit of the Prince of Songkla University community in serving humanity with sincerity and without expectation of reward.

The collective strength, unity, and spirit of being “Members of the Prince of Songkla University Community” have been clearly demonstrated — particularly during the recent flood crisis — earning trust, recognition, and a respected standing that empowers us to move forward with resilience. I extend my deepest appreciation and sincere thanks to everyone, and I commend the unwavering hearts that refused to yield. Together, you have forged a vital force that shapes Prince of Songkla University as an institution of hope and a true pillar of support for society.

On this New Year 2026, I respectfully invoke the blessings of all sacred powers and the grace of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla to bestow upon you and your families happiness, prosperity, success in your endeavors, and good health. May you be well prepared to face future challenges with determination, to drive meaningful change, and to help build a better future for our nation — “Prince of Songkla University for Mankind.”

Happy New Year 2026.
