PSU congratulates the researchers who have been ranked among “The World's Top 2% Scientists” for the year 2023. The ranking was announced by Stanford University, which identifies the top 2% of most-cited researchers in the world across 22 main fields and 174 subfields according to the Science-Metrix classification standard. The selection and ranking are based on an analysis of the research impact through citations of articles published in the Scopus database from 1960 to 2022.
The list of scientists and rankings is divided into two groups:
1. Researchers with the highest career-long citation impact (from 1996 to the end of 2022)
2. Researchers with the highest citation impact in a single year (2022).
