On October 14, 2015, PSU had the honor of receiving Prof. Dato' Dr. Mortaza Bin Mohamed, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Ab. Latif, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni, from the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia. The honorable guests have been cordially welcomed by Mr. Phichit Rerngsangvatana, PSU Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutamas Satasook, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and representatives from the PSU College of Islamic Studies and International Affairs Office.
During the meeting, the good relationship between UMK and PSU was stated, including the successful collaborative activities such as staff exchange, cultural and academic student's exchange, joint seminars, as well as friendly sport competitions. Since the cooperation with UMK concentrates at Pattani and Surat Thani campuses, the distinguished visitors proposed to explore future collaborative opportunities also with the other three PSU campuses.
The participants highlighted the necessity of a Student Exchange Agreement between the two universities. This agreement, which will be under the general Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2012, can facilitate the exchange of students with or without credit transfer.
