Thai Traditional Heritage: PSU Loy Krathong Festival 2019 was held on November 11, 2019, at Hat Yai Campus. New to this year’s event, international students dressed in their traditional costumes played a prominent role in the Loy Krathong parade and activities, giving a multicultural vibe to the annual Thai tradition.
The festival was packed with fun activities, including a Thai Beauty Queen contest, Thai traditional performances, a Thai country band, and a kratong-making competition.
At the end of the day, participants floated their krathongs at the pond by the Pumpkin Building, an act that symbolizes freeing oneself from the stress, worries and bad luck accumulated during the year.
