A Prince of Songkla University (PSU) team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanit Chalermyanont, Vice President for Planning and Finance, welcomed Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksana, Chief and Lead Assessor, together with the AUN-QA assessment panel from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) system. The visit marked PSU’s participation in the 485th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. University executives, the Organizational Quality Management Center, and relevant stakeholders also attended the welcoming session from 13–15 January 2026 at Meeting Room 210, Office of the President, PSU Hat Yai Campus, and Khao Tha Phet Meeting Room, Office of the President, PSU Surat Thani Campus.

Dr. Tanit stated that PSU operates five campuses across southern Thailand and expressed pride that 26 programmes from three campuses—Hat Yai, Pattani, and Phuket—have already been accredited under AUN-QA standards. He noted that this year is the first time PSU has conducted AUN-QA programme assessments simultaneously at both the Hat Yai and Surat Thani campuses, and it is also the first AUN-QA assessment ever hosted at the Surat Thani Campus. This milestone reflects the University’s continued growth and its strong commitment to quality assurance across all campuses.

“Prince of Songkla University firmly believes that quality education is the foundation of sustainable development. Our University has continuously promoted innovation, research, and community engagement. Adopting the AUN-QA assessment framework demonstrates our intention to elevate our programmes to international standards and ensure alignment with societal needs and the global higher education context”, Dr. Tanit concluded.
