From 14 to 16 February 2025, the 5th PSU Bazaar on Ground, "PSU Lover", a vibrant festival of food, music, and art, was held as a Low Carbon Event by the International Affairs and Corporate Communication Center, PSU. Taking place at the PSU Flagpole, Hat Yai Campus, the event received an overwhelming response, drawing massive crowds and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Designed to empower entrepreneurs within the PSU Bazaar community including students, alumni, faculty, benefactors, and university affiliates. The festival provided a platform to showcase products, generate income, exchange business knowledge, and build valuable networks. With enthusiastic participation, the event contributed over 1.5 million baht to economic circulation.
It wasn’t just about music, food, and shopping, the festival was also packed with fun-filled activities for all ages. Exciting attractions included a Bouncy Castle, Target Shooting, Bingo Games, Coloring Activities, and an Outdoor Cinema, etc.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Jindabot, Director of the International Affairs and Corporate Communication Center, shared the remarkable journey of PSU Bazaar on Ground, which has grown into a vibrant platform for entrepreneurship, learning, and cultural exchange. The first edition, PSU Bazaar Learning Marketplace, took place in March 2021 at Central Hat Yai, featuring food, educational activities, and entertainment. The second edition, Music Food Fest @PSU in the Garden, was held in June 2023 at the garden opposite the Faculty of Management Sciences, drawing over 5,000 attendees and generating 400,000 THB in economic activity over two days. In February 2024, the third edition moved to the PSU Flagpole at Hat Yai Campus, where the two-day event boosted economic circulation to 800,000 THB. The fourth edition, hosted in June 2024 at the garden near the President’s Office parking lot, set a new milestone, surpassing 1,000,000 THB in revenue over three days.
The 5th PSU Bazaar on Ground, PSU Lovers, was a resounding success, made possible through the collaboration of PSU, local entrepreneurs, event organizers, and dedicated supporters from both the public and private sectors. Over three days, the event welcomed more than 20,000 participants and generated over 1.5 million baht in revenue, significantly contributing to the local economy's circulation.
“"The PSU Bazaar on Ground is scheduled to be held twice a year, in February, marking the end of the final semester and celebrating the spirit of the month of love, and again in June-July, to welcome new students and the start of the 2025 academic year”, Dr. Teerasak explained.
