PSU hosted CIO Digital University Forum, driving HEIs towards becoming fully digital

On August 26, 2024, the Office of Digital Innovation and Intelligent Systems, PSU, organized the "CIO Digital University Forum” a network collaboration meeting to facilitate the exchange of ideas on managing higher education institutions and advancing them toward becoming digital organizations. The event also marked the establishment of a collaborative framework between universities and the exchange of best practices. The event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, and was attended by senior IT executives from higher education institutions as well as digital experts from member and interested institutions.

Dr. Thakerng stated that the university has consistently participated in the CIO Digital University Forum and has implemented strategies focusing on leadership in cybersecurity technology in the southern region, aiming toward ASEAN, and establishing the AUN-Dx Thematic Network. PSU has continuously pursued a strategy to transform the university into a Digital University both nationally and internationally.

One crucial factor contributing to the university's success is from the collaboration within the CIO Digital University Forum. Particularly, the gathering of IT executives from various universities fosters significant cooperation and the exchange of digital experiences. This allows us to apply new knowledge and technologies to enhance education and improve the development of Thailand. Additionally, it promotes the sharing of experiences among members, enabling CIOs to innovate and respond effectively to the needs and challenges. Furthermore, this helps establish lasting relationships and networks, leading to continuous and sustainable development.
