Between 17 and 22 January 2022, PSU representatives attended the event “Lancang-Mekong Youth Online: Lancang-Mekong Regional Governance” on the topic “Opportunities, Challenges, and Future Development of Lancang Mekong Regional Governance in the COVID-19 Pandemic Era”. The event was organized by the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University, P.R. China.
The PSU representatives, Prof. Dr. Virasak Chongsuvivatwong from the Faculty of Medicine, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyawan Rungvorapong from the Faculty of Commerce and Management, were keynote speakers at the event, on the topic “History, Present, and Future of the Greater Mekong Subregion: what the international youth should be aware of and think about” and “On the Bright Side of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Cultural and Educational Perspective”, respectively.
“Lancang-Mekong Youth Online: Lancang-Mekong Regional Governance” was a workshop activity to support youth exchange in terms of knowledge and cultural exchange under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, by inviting experts from LMC China Secretariat, Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Center, Lancang-Mekong Environment Cooperation Center, and representatives from universities in China and other Mekong countries, to share knowledge and exchange ideas with youth from various universities in the Lancang-Mekong countries. In addition, 15 PSU students from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Commerce and Management, and the Faculty of Architecture have also participated in the activities.
