The objectives of this honorable visit were to strengthen the cooperation and discuss possible collaborative activities between the two universities. This cooperation has been initiated in January 2015 with the visit of a PSU delegation to the esteemed SQU. Subsequently, in October 2015, two distinguished delegates from SQU visited PSU and discussed several possible joint activities, such as staff and student exchange, internships, joint research, as well as other mutually beneficial activities.
Her Highness thoughtfully revealed that SQU and PSU have many areas of study in common, and in the beginning the cooperation may start with training for SQU students in Tourism and Hospitality; electives in Nursing and Medicine; as along with student exchange with credit transfer. Future collaborative activities may be initiated in other mutual areas of interest, such as Marine Sciences, Food Sciences, Disaster Management, Water Management and Agriculture, to mention a few.
A significant step towards strengthening the cooperation between SQU and PSU was the signing of a Letter of Agreement on 27 September. This auspicious ceremony has been witnessed by several distinguished PSU administrators.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, PSU President, noted that this propitious visit represents an important milestone in the ever-evolving relationship between SQU and PSU. He also stated that the strong relationship can be developed into a permanent and sustainable network that can also bring great benefits to the people of our two countries.
