Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, Vice Rector, and four distinguished delegates from Quy Nhon University (QNU), Vietnam, visited PSU from December 13-19, 2015. The honorable visitors were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattara Aiyarak, Vice President for Global Relations and Informatics; Dr. Pireeyutma Vanapruk, PSU alumni and the initiator of the cooperation between PSU and QNU; International Affairs Office representatives, as well as two QNU staff currently studying for their Ph.D. at PSU.
The welcome meeting was held on December 14 at PSU Hat Yai Campus and was a great opportunity for discussing current and possible future cooperation between the two universities, under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2013. The collaborative activities discussed include training and joint programs in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environment Management and Hospitality and Tourism, as well as other areas as identified to be of mutual benefit. Specific agreements at faculty level were also considered to be signed with PSU faculties of Engineering, Environment Management, and Hospitality and Tourism.
The distinguished QNU guests also had the chance to visit the related PSU faculties and research centers and discuss with faculties' executives more details regarding the cooperation.
