WorldStar Student Awards 2019, organized by the Institute of Packaging South Africa, issued a Certificate of Recognition to a student of the PSU Faculty of Agro-Industry, in recognition of his innovative packaging design, as announced on 10 January, 2020.
Mr. Thakon Kampididphol, student of PSU’s Packaging Technology and Materials Program, Faculty of Agro-Industry, won the award at the International Packaging Design Student Competition South Africa 2019.
This latest award is the fourth in the series of prizes for the Faculty of Agro-Industry, since previously, Mr. Thakon’s innovative entry won the top prize of WorldStar 2019, in addition to awards by Thai Star 2019 and Asia Star 2019.
Mr. Thakon explained that the three principles his design follows are beauty, creativity and practicality. The package design highlights the product (cookies), and the triangular shape is structured in a way that secures the product safely. The boxes can be attached to each other for convenience, and a visible note points out the exact location for intuitive opening.
