Four groups of staff and students from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JUST) from China visited PSU starting on July 24, 2011. Two delegations of academic and administrative staff enjoyed their time at PSU until August 2, 2011. A group of students and staff from JUST, which joined the Cultural Exchange Program with PSU, stayed until August 6, 2011.
The fourth group of students, who came for an Industrial Training, had the chance to enjoy their time at PSU until August 22, 2011.
Our 49 Chinese guests were led by Professor Teng Qingan, former Vice President of JUST. Mr. Phichit Rerngsangvatana, Vice President of PSU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Ratanachai, Vice President for Outreach and International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichien Chatupote, Assistant President for International Affairs, and representatives from the faculties of Engineering and Management Sciences warmly welcomed them on July 26, 2011, at the President’s Office Building, Hat Yai campus.

In the evening of the 27th of July, JUST and PSU students participated in a successful Cultural Performance. Many students and staff came to enjoy the diversity of the Chinese and Thai cultural presentations through traditional and modern dance and music, such as: classical Thai dance, modern dance, Chinese dance, Chinese instruments performance, and Chinese songs. The Chinese and Thai students enjoyed dancing and singing together, making the artistic performance enjoyable and entertaining for everyone.

Moreover, PSU organized many interesting activities for our visitors, such as: attending a Thai Dancing Class and a Thai Boxing Class, and visits to many tourist places in Songkhla, Phuket, and Bangkok. In the same way, various PSU faculties organized enjoyable activities for smaller groups of staff and students, in order for them to learn more about the Thai academic approach and Thai culture.
