A group of three lecturers and seven students from South China Agricultural University (SCAU) visited PSU, under the Staff and Students Exchange Program, MOU Addendum 2010-2011. The academic staff enjoyed their time to PSU from July 10-15, 2011, and the students from July 10-23, 2011. The objective of the visit was to learn more about the Thai academic approach and culture. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichien Chatupote, Assistant President for International Affairs, together with executives from the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Surat Thani campus, warmly welcomed them on July 12, 2011, at Hat Yai campus.
During their stay, all SCAU visitors met with colleagues from the relevant faculties and enjoyed various activities, such as visiting laboratories and facilities at PSU, and participating in classes together with Thai students. Moreover, our visitors also had the chance to sightseeing tourist places in Bangkok and around Songkhla Province. This trip allowed them to learn more about Thai culture and history.
This yearly successful exchange program between PSU and SCAU provides significant opportunities for cross-cultural and educational exchanges, and helps foster cooperation and understanding between our universities and our countries.
