
A group of eleven delegates from PSU visited seven universities in Taiwan from June 19-25, 2011. The PSU delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Ratanachai, Vice President for Outreach and International Affairs, successfully fulfilled its objectives of establishing new collaborations with Taiwanese universities. Therefore, during this trip, five new Memorandum of Understandings were signed, and one MOU was renewed.
The PSU participants in this trip also included the Vice President for Academic and International Affairs of Pattani Campus, Deans of the faculties of Management Sciences, Engineering, and Liberal Arts, Associate Deans from the faculties of Management Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Environmental Management, Director of the Research and Development Office from PSU, Head of the International Affairs Office, and an International Affairs officer. They had the chance to meet and discuss more in details future collaborative activities with related representatives from the Taiwanese universities. Some of these activities concern staff and student exchanges, study abroad programs, joint degrees, joint research, joint conferences, visiting professors, and keynote speakers, between PSU and the Taiwanese partners.
The Taiwanese universities visited are: Taipei Medical University, National Taipei University of Technology, National Taipei University, National Dong Hwa University, Providence University, National Cheng Kung University, and National Kaohsiung Marine University.
Moreover, our delegates had the chance to discover various historical and cultural places in Taiwan, and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the Taiwanese people.
